we tried this restaurant after trying another similar style Moroccan restaurant a couple of months ago. we were completely disappointed and will never go back there. even though there were no smoking signs, the restaurant smelled like a middle eastern coffee house, where people sit and smoke all day. the service was horrible (no smile or accommodation of our requests from the person waiting our table). compared to the other place, we got less food for 4 people compared to the plenty of food we were served at the other one for 2. at the end of our 7-course-meal, we were still hungry (none of us are obese, or even over weight)! it costed us around $140 for 4 people (no alcohol included). almost 1/3 of the things listed on their website for 7-course-meal was not served or not available (with no explanation as a courtesy - of course we were not even provided a menu listing what would be served probably to cover this up). in addition, some guy (assuming the owner) came to our table and asked our permission to smoke pipe! when we said it is already smoky and it bothers us as is, his response was ""no, this is a non-smoking place."" i guess that meant it was non-smoking for guests that do not like smelly places while they eat! i would strongly recommend you avoid going there. it is a complete rip off! all of us agreed that this was the worst experience ever for us.
This place is authentic to the bone. The food, decor, dancing and music. They play traditional music that isn't modernized pop. The staff for the most part is friendly and the dancers are good. The place isn't the cleanest but the food is very good and served promtly - I couldn't finish it all there was so much. City Ave Rocks!
This was fantastic!! I could not believe the difference between this place and Little Marakesh. The food was great and warm, the service was great and friendly and the dancers were awesome. It was such a relief to discover that good Morroccan food does exist. For a great evening out and fantastic food you should head into the city and steer clear of Marakesh. 2 thumps up for a fabulous time!!
I recently ate at this establishment and thought the food was fantastic!! The dancers are great the staff is friendly and the decorations are very authentic and set the mood perfectly. This is a wonderful family restaurant to bring your kids and it isn't clouded by smoke or drunk teens like another Middle Eastern restaurant in Dresher we went to. The servers are very attentive and the food was hot and fabulous. For great food of any kind this is worth the trip into the city just so you can experience how REAL Middle Eastern food is supposed to taste and be servered.
we havea great time, we loved the dicoration the way they presented the food, great intertaiment, great value and best gust service we have ever had. they explained to us what we had to do since it was our first experience in a morrocan restaurant and how to had to use to pita bread as our fork and knife. also the belly dancer did a great show she even gave us a short dancing lesson while she was doing her lesson .
It was a wonderful experience. We were welcomed wormely. Ahuthentic atmosphere, delicious
medetranin food. The best Shish kabob ever. I also tried the lamb and beef meat, tastfull spices and it melts in your mouth. The service is wonderful. 2 thumps up!
