So far only dealt with them by phone, but they've been extremely responsive and prompt with their quote, very patient when I've had to make changes to the order, etc... They also have exactly what I need, and I haven't been able to find it anywhere else in the New York/Philly/CT area. I'm visiting them in the next few days to see the facility and materials personally, so I'll update this review, but just from a service and selection stand point, they already get 5 stars from me.
The commenter who claims Randa is a rip off should stick to shopping at Home Deport or Lowe's. If you want high quality lumber you won't go wrong dealing with this company. For one thing they are family owned and local. As far as price, I have shopped around in the past and Randa comes in at a better price, or lets you know that certain wood is just expensive. After all you can't expect to buy Brazilian rosewood for the price of hem fir 2 X 4's. All their wood is kiln dried, most in house. Like I said in the beginning of this review, you are getting what you pay for. Randa caters to cabinet makers and upscale builders, or anybody who appreciates the beauty of fine wood. If you're building some shelves in your garage or basement, stick with the home centers and don't badmouth a great company.
